Hyderabad: Tata Starbucks opens South India’s first coffee experiential store in Khajaguda
Tata Starbucks has opened South India's first coffee experiential store in Hyderabad's Khajaguda.
This follows the similar launches in Delhi and Mumbai.
The new format is designed to provide customers with an immersive coffee journey rooted in craft, origin, and local culture.
Bringing Global Coffee Narratives to South India
The Khajaguda store reflects Starbucks’ design philosophy of storytelling and highlights the journey from bean to cup. It includes an Espresso Zone and a dedicated Brew Bar where customers can interact with Starbucks baristas, observe different brewing techniques, and learn about the nuances of flavour extraction.
Sushant Dash, CEO of Tata Starbucks, said:
“The launch of our third experiential store in India is a testament to our commitment to redefining how Indians experience coffee. Hyderabad’s vibrant cultural and culinary evolution makes it an ideal destination for a concept that brings together global coffee craftsmanship and regional heritage. At Khajaguda, we’re creating immersive, memorable moments for our customers — one cup, one connection at a time.”
Local Flavours Meet Global Techniques
A standout feature of the Khajaguda store is its curated menu of beverages inspired by Indian ingredients. Signature drinks include the Cinnamon Jaggery Latte, Malabar Coconut Cream Latte, Cocoa Birds Eye Chilli Latte, and the Tamarind Red Peroo Shikanji Cold Brew. These items are available only at experiential stores.
In line with Starbucks’ focus on regional storytelling, these beverages use jaggery, coconut, tamarind, chilli, and shikanji to reflect India’s rich culinary heritage through the medium of coffee.
Precision Brewing with Black Eagle Machine
To support manual brewing with precision, the store features the Black Eagle espresso machine. This high-end equipment allows Starbucks Coffee Masters to control every step of the extraction process, ensuring each cup is customized and prepared to international standards.
Extensive Global Bean Selection
Customers at the Khajaguda store will have access to five exclusive espresso bean choices and thirteen whole bean variants. These include beans from renowned growing regions such as India, Kenya, Sumatra, Zambia, and Latin America.
The global coffee menu includes options such as the Starbucks Willow Blend, Starbucks Single-Origin Zambia, Starbucks Single-Origin Colombia, Pike Place Roast, and Starbucks® House Blend.
Store Details and Timings
The new Khajaguda experiential store is open to the public daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Visitors can explore a range of brewing methods, taste international blends, and engage directly with trained Coffee Masters in a space that blends contemporary design with storytelling elements.
