Luxury on wheels: Now, rent caravans in Hyderabad for special events, family trips

Hyderabad: If you’re missing trips to the wilderness on the city’s outskirts and spending leisure time amidst lush green settings, gear up to explore Telangana in an entirely different way this summer.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, families and friend groups began looking for more personal and exclusive vacation experiences, which opened the door for novel activities like hiring luxury caravans and traveling to new locations.
It will no longer be a pipe dream to rent a private caravan with all the conveniences and set off on the open road.
Now, you can hire a caravan from Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) or private caravan dealers like Rasa Living, Roadiz Adventures, MotoHom caravans, etc.
Make special days more special
Apart from holidays and trips, people have started using luxury caravans to make their special days more special. The caravans can be used for date nights, small birthday celebration drives, anniversaries, and even romantic proposals.
The interiors can be decorated to ones liking to make wholesome memories on special days.
“I got in touch with the caravan company and planned an elaborate proposal for my fiancée. The whole experience was beautiful and completely different. Since we are both travellers, it was something that was close to our hearts as well. My fiancée was taken aback and did not expect something so out of the box. It is such a fresh idea to surprise your loved ones,” said travel enthusiast Akhil Reddy about his caravan-themed proposal.
Amenities
The AC caravan vehicles will come equipped with a modern toilet, a shower, two LED screens, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator. You can convert your seats to sofas or beds, which can accommodate seven people in one van. For longer trips, an assistant or help looks after the vehicle’s cleaning and laundry.
Most caravan firms have agreements in place to utilise the land of hotels, farms, and private persons for parking.
According to Neha Soman, a frequent caravan traveller, “This allows visitors to use the amenities of the resort or region and also have more extensive meals during halts as people rarely want to cook while on vacation, other than the odd BBQ, eggs, or Maggi.”
Famous Hyderabad travel blogger Neethu, popularly known as Paired Passports on Instagram, recalled her first caravan trip. “It was such a great experience going on my first caravan trip. It was quite relaxing. It seems like the best solution for people who love to go on road trips. Five–seven people can easily be accommodated. It gives the feeling of a luxury hotel on wheels. It is a must-try.”
Caravan packages
· For 8 hours, 80 km – Rs. 4,000
· 200 km in 12 hours – Rs. 6,000
· Rs. 35 per mile for outstation; 300 km minimum
· Each km is Rs. 25 rupees and an additional hour will cost Rs. 300.
· 20% more has to be put down (a refundable caution deposit) on top of the anticipated tour price.
· For outstation excursions, GST will be applied as needed.
· MV tax will be applied as necessary for outstation excursions.
