1. Tata Nexon EV:

The battery capacity is 30.2 KWH and as per the company claims, the charging time takes approximately 60 mins (0-80% charging). Currently, 5 variants are available in the market – XM, XZ Plus, XZ Plus Dark Edition, XZ Plus LUX and XZ Plus Lux Dark Edition.

2. Tata Tigor EV:


Tigor EV is another electric car from TATA which falls in the 11 L- 13 L (ex-showroom price in Delhi) segment. It is a compact 5-seater sedan with automatic transmission. Tata Tigor EV is rated as India's best affordable electric car which received 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. It's a practical option for city drivers and comes with a silent-drive advantage.

Talking of specifications, Tigor EV comes with a 74 BHP and 170 Nm torque electric engine. The battery capacity is 26 kWh with a fast-charging facility of 60 minutes (0-80%). Tigor comes in four variants – XE, XM, XZ Plus and XZ Plus Dual Tone.

3. MG ZS EV:


The MG ZS EV is certainly one of India's most expensive EV cars, with a price range of 21 L to 24.68 L (Ex-Showroom Price Delhi). The 5-seater car is enabled with an advanced iSmart system that responds to over 35 Hinglish commands like "Khul Ja Sim Sim" to open the panoramic sunroof. The other attractive features of MG ZS EV include Apple CarPlay, Cruise Control, Electric parking brake, pedestrian warning system etc.
The battery capacity is 44.5 kWH which a motor capacity of 143 bhp and 353Nm torque. The company claims a charging capacity of 0-80% in 50 minutes with a 50kW DC fast charger. MG ZS EV comes in two variants - Excite and Exclusive.

The battery capacity is 39.2kWH and is powered with a fast-charging system. Currently, two variants are available in Kona – Premium and Premium Dual tone.

Experts believe that this car will give serious competition to the Tata Nexon, especially with an unbeatable price range of 8.25- 10 Lakhs. eKUV100 is expected to be launched in December 2021. It comes with an automatic transmission and 5-Seater capacity. Some of the key specs of this car are 54PS power, 120NM maximum Torque and 15.9kWH motor power. The features include fast charging, keyless entry, cruise control, 1 driver airbag, Hill Descent control etc.
