Hyderabad: Summer is here and what better place to cool off than water parks. Hyderabad, the city known for biryani and pearls, is also home to some fun waterparks. From reliving your childhood fun days to helping you beat the heat, the city's got places that will ensure your summertime is fun, filled with water rides, slides, and hours of fun and frolic!
Blu Thunder Resort and Park
Located: Inside Super City Venture, Pochampally Road, Bibi Nagar, Nalgonda district, Telangana
Blue Thunder Resort & Water Park is the perfect weekend getaway or a day outing. It has a serene surrounding and greenery all around. It provides accommodation, dining, and other facilities under one roof. It has water rides, a swimming pool, a rain dance floor, a children's play area, and a mini-adventure park.
It is open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m and costs Rs. 395 for all ages. Food and cottages are available at extra cost.
Srinidhi Resorts
Location: Ghatkesar, On Warangal Highway, Medchal district
Spread over 20 acres of lush greenery, the resort has a swimming pool, whirl water slide, torpedo water slide, polo for kids, and a wave pool. It also has a playpen that has games like merry-go-rounds, slides, swings, gliders, Columbus, and see-saws.
Indoor games available here are foosball, chess, carrom, dart, table tennis, air hockey, pool, and shooting
Outdoor games available here are cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, and football.
It also has a small bird sanctuary.
The resort provides accommodation facilities that focus on local culture but has a modern interior. It also has restaurants such as Bamboo-themed Hut Restaurant, Haritha 'The Garden Eat Out' Restaurant, and Refresh Point.
It is open from 9 a.m to 6 p.m on all days of the week.
New Maharaja Water Park
Location: Shamshabad Road, Shad Nagar, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda
It has an array of adventurous rides under one roof, including Columbus, a giant wheel, BreakDance, Dragon Wheel, and Cross Wheel. Tourists can also take a refreshing plunge in the swimming pool to beat the heat. The park has separate pools for men and women.
The park also offers welcome drinks and a buffet lunch that serves south Indian food.
It is open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m on all days of the week.
Mount Opera
Location: Batasingaram, Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway, NH-9 Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad.
Spread across an area of 55 acres, Mount Opera is one of the special tourism units which has been chosen by the Andhra Pradesh department of tourism.
The Oasis Zone offers a range of water games and slides. It has adult slides, a wave pool along with a separate one for kids, a family pool, boat rides, and rain dance.
It also has a skating rink, toy train, merry-go-round, Merry Cups, Slam Bob, Columbus, Sliding Ring, Striking Cars, Tele-Combat, Ferris wheel, go-karting, and bumper cars. Some of the indoor games are billiards, table tennis, carrom, cards room, and chess.
Mount Opera boasts a discotheque, and an open theatre, and offers a range of accommodation facilities, from suites to cottages, each well-furnished with modern amenities such as a gymnasium and sauna.
Mount Opera also offers a wide array of culinary choices that offer authentic Indian food and has a multi-cuisine restaurant.
It is open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m on weekdays and from 11 a.m to 7 p.m on weekends.
Alankrita Resort and Convention
Location: Thumkunta Village, Shamirpet Mandal, Medchal district

The resort has water parks, swimming pools, a kids pool, and indoor and outdoor games like console games, carrom, foosball, billiards, table tennis, chess, basketball, badminton, and beach volleyball.
It has accommodation facilities ranging from standard rooms, cottages, and suites, to villas with high-end facilities. All the rooms have WIFI facilities and include complimentary breakfast.
It is open from 10 a.m to 9 p.m.

Dream Valley Water Park

The park offers water games like splash pads, slides, spray grounds, and has an Olympic-size swimming pool. It has lawn venues, a cricket ground, a work zone, a kids' arena, and a buffet zone for food lovers.
A day outing package for people above 11 years is priced at Rs. 1,250, excluding GST, and for children from 5- 11 years it is priced at Rs. 800, excluding GST. The package includes a welcome drink, lunch, hi-tea, access to a water park with a rain dance, swimming pool and outdoor games.

Ocean Park
Location: Near Cbit College, Shankarpally Road, Gandipet Lake, Hyderabad
Ocean Park is spread across a large area and has two sections – one for water sports and another solely for amusement and games. It offers varied choices ranging from water rides, children's pool, wave pool, water slides, to dry rides.
Some of the water rides are Pendulum, Aqua Snake, Crazy Cruize, Zip Zap Zoom, Multilane Ride, Wave Pool, Harakiri,Tornado, Aqua-Glide, Aqua Trail, and Splash. Dry rides include Super loop, 60-feet high ride, bumping cars, Slam Bomb, Brake Dance, Super Jet, and High Swinger.
The wave pool and the swimming pool have different sections for men, women, and children. All the rides are included in the Ocean Park entry fee. Timings are from 11 a.m to 7.30 p.m, while water games are open only till 6 p.m.

Wild Waters

Spread over 30 acres of tropical landscape, Wild Waters features an Aqua Park and amusement park with over 50 wet and dry rides.
There are 21 water rides at Aqua Park like loop racer, twister, hurricane, cyclone, backlash, tunnel, and many more. It also has family rides such as Paradise Beach, Rain Disco, Pirates Cove that has adult slides and six slides for kids with varying lengths and heights ranging from 21 feet to six feet.
It has many other rides for families like Surf Rider, Rodeo Ride, Rope Course, Rock Climbing, Zip Line, Matt Racer, and Free fall.
Wild Waters ticket is priced at Rs. 999, excluding GST, for adults and Rs. 799, excluding GST, for senior citizens and children (90-140 cm). After-hours tickets are Rs. 599, excluding GST, per adult and Rs. 499, excluding GST, per child (90-140 cm) and senior citizens. It is open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m from Monday to Friday. On weekends and public holidays, the timings are 11 a.m to 7 p.m. Water rides at the park close by 6 p.m every evening.

Jalavihar Water Park

This water park has a wide range of water games as well as dry rides. Some of them are family slide, Mini Aqua Trailers, Tilt Bucket, Mushroom Umbrella, Float slide, and Pendulum. It also has a wave pool and Rain Dance.
Some of the dry rides are Mini Coarsely, Mini train, Super-Jet, Battery cars, Mini rainbow wheel, Mini joker, battery bikes, air hockey, water shooter, basketball, bungee trampoline, and many more.
It is open from 11 a.m to 7 p.m on all days. Tickets are priced at Rs. 400 for those above three feet and Rs. 300 for kids below three feet. Dry rides are to be paid for separately and cost anything between Rs. 30 and 50.

Escape Water park

It offers a wide range of water games like super combo, float spiral ride, mat racer, broad slide, free fall, rain dance, swimming spiral, wave pool, sudden drop, zumba loop, tunnel twister, and blue bang.
It is open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m on all days of the week. The entry fee is Rs. 590 (120 cm), Rs. 490 for kids, and free for those below 90 cm.
