Lockdown 5: Telangana allows inter-state travel, no permits required
By Newsmeter Network Published on 31 May 2020 1:25 PM GMTHyderabad: The Telangana government, on 31 May, announced the relaxation of several lockdown restrictions in the state after the Central government decided to withdraw certain lockdown orders in a phased manner.
The state government has removed restrictions on inter-state travel. Earlier, a pass was necessary for inter-state travel but now no permission will be required, the government said. However, in keeping with the Centre's lockdown orders, movement will be restricted from 9 p.m to 5 a.m. This is applicable only for areas outside the containment zones.
Free movement will be allowed only from 5 a.m to 9 p.m, and only emergency medical transport is exempt from the curfew. Earlier, the night curfew was decided to be from 7pm to 6 am. In addition to this, no shops and establishments will be allowed to stay open after 8 p.m, while hospitals and pharmacies are exempt from this rule.
Meanwhile, lockdown orders will remain applicable in containment zones till 30 June.
