Major fire in art gallery in Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at Ridhi Sidhi Art Gallery located at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. The fire had spread all over the place within minutes since most of the items in the gallery were flammable. Further, the fire added to the panic of the residents in the area. However, a major mishap was averted as fire teams rushed to the spot and doused the fire in a short time.

According to officials from the fire department, the art gallery is located in the second floor of a building in road no. 12, Banjara Hills. On Sunday evening around 7.30, a fire broke out inside the gallery and it soon spread, leaving all artefacts into ashes.

Alerted by neighbors in the same building, the fire teams rushed to the spot and controlled the fire. Inquiries revealed that fire originated from a refrigerator in the place. Property loss was reported, but the value is being ascertained. Further Sunday being a holiday, there were no casualties reported.

A case was registered at Banjara Hills police station.
