Major Reshuffle: Andhra Pradesh government transfers 20 IPS officers

Vijayawada: In a major reshuffle of IPS officers, AP government on Friday transferred 20 police officials. Additional DG rank officer Harish Kumar Gupta, who is ADG of Home Guards was transferred and posted as Chairman of AP, State Police Recruitment Board in the existing vacancy.

RK Meena, Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam, on his promotion as ADG rank, is retained as city police chief Visakhkapatnam by creating an Ex-cadre post in the rank of Additional Director General of Police.

IG rank officer P Hari Kumar, who was waiting for the posting was posted as Inspector General of Police, Legal at DGP Office in the existing vacancy.

Ch Srikanth, Deputy Inspector General of Police, SIB, on his promotion as Inspector General of Police, was posted as Inspector General of police, SIB by creating an Ex-cadre post in the rank of IGP.

DIG Rank officer AS Khan was promoted as IG Rank officer was he was posed as Inspector General of Police, Marine by creating an Ex-cadre post in the rank of IGP

J Prabhakar Rao, DIG of CID, on his promotion as IG of Police, was posted as Inspector of General of Police, Guntur Range.

On transfer, IG of Guntur, Vineed Brijlal was posted as Director of Enforcement by creating an Ex-cadre post in the rank of IGP, duly relieving NV Surendra Babu from the responsibility for enforcement against illegal sand mining and enforcement issues relating to Excise department. Vineet Brijlal will also hold the full additional charge of post of Director of Prohibition and Excise.

Joint Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada city, D Nagendra Kumar on his promotion as IGP was posted as Inspector General of Police, P & L, at DGP office AP, Mangalagiri by creating an Ex-cadre post.

Kolli Raghuram Reddy, Superintendent of Police, CI Cell, Intelligence, on his promotion as Deputy Inspector General of Police, is posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence in the existing vacancy.

GVG. Ashok Kumar, Joint Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau, on his promotion as Deputy Inspector General of Police, is posted as Additional Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau by creating an ex-cadre post in the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police.

G. Vijay Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, on his promotion as Deputy Inspector General of Police, is posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence in the existing vacancy.

S. Hari Krishna, Deputy Commissioner of Police(Admin), Vijayawada City, on his promotion as Deputy Inspector General of Police, is posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID in the existing vacancy.

M. Ravi Prakash, Superintendent of Police, SIB, on his promotion as Deputy Inspector General of Police, is posted as Additional Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau by creating an ex-cadre post in the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
