Malkajgiri ACP Narsimha Reddy amassed Rs 70 Crore worth illegal properties

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana carry out searches against Assistant commissioner of Police (ACP) for Malkajgiri Y Narsimha Reddy and unearthed illegal properties to the tune of Rs 70 crores.
In an early morning operation, the sleuths carry out searches at 25 locations in Hyderabad, Warangal, Jangoan, Nalgonda, Karimnagar and also in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
During the searches, ACB found documents of 55 acres of land in AP, 4 plots measuring 1960 square yards of land opposite to Cyber towers in Madhapur, 2 houses plots, one commercial G+3 building in Hafeezpet, Rs 15 lakh cash balance, 2 bank lockers. The market value of these properties will be around Rs 70 Crores, ACB said.

The extensive operation is based on the inputs provided by reliable sources. "The ACP acquired assets disproportionate to his legal source of income by indulging in corrupt practice. A case of disproportionate assets has been registered against him' ACB said.
The officer earlier worked as a sub-inspector in Hyderabad Commissionerte's task force wing before he was promoted as an Inspector. He served in Uppal, Begumpet and other law and order police stations including the Central Crime Station.
