Man gets 5-yr jail for sexually assaulting 10-yr-old

Hyderabad: The Metropolitan sessions judge, on 25 August, sentenced a 34-year-old man to five-years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in 2017.
On 7 June 2017, the victim's father had lodged a complaint at the Falaknuma police station claiming that Mohammed Hameeduddin had sexually assaulted his daughter. He said that in the first week of April 2017 he had left the house to take his sick wife to the hospital. He had asked Hameeduddin, who is his brother-in-law, to stay home and take care of his 10-year-old daughter.
However, when the couple returned home that night, they found the door to their house locked from inside. As soon as they reached, Hameeduddin told them he had some urgent work and fled. When they entered the house, they found their daughter crying. She told them that Hameeduddin had forced her to undress and threatened to tell her father to hit her.
On Tuesday, Hameeduddin was found guilty under Section 7 of the POCSO Act.
