Man gets life imprisonment for raping three-year-old girl

Cyberabad: Sangareddy District Sessions Court, on Tuesday, sentenced Palthewar Srinivasan (57) to life imprisonment for raping a three-year-old in RC Puram in 2017.
According to the complaint, the child went missing on December 2017, since the child was picked up by Srinivasan, who was returning from a wine shop. He took the victim to a graveyard in LIG Colony, BHEL. The locals spotted the convict who was in the middle of the crime. They heard the child cry and questioned Srinivasan on why the child was weeping. While the latter tried to run away, the locals caught him and took him to RC Puram police station. After police interrogations, Srinivasan admitted to the crime.
Later, he was kept under judicial custody and was produced before the District Sessions Court at Sangareddy. He has been convicted with rigorous life imprisonment and has been fined Rs 5,000 under Section 4 and 6 of POCSO Act.
S Ravi Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, investigated the case and produced Palthewar before the court. Higher officials and public appreciated Ravi Kumar and his team.
