Man held for raping mother-in-law in Hyderabad

A man working as a driver was arrested after he allegedly raped his mother-in-law two days ago. The accused Bhaskar threatened his 45-year-old mother-in-law of divorcing her daughter, if she revealed the matter to anybody.

Bhaskar was married to the woman’s daughter a couple of years ago. On Wednesday, he took the woman to an isolated place near Gurram Cheruvu at Balapur on the outskirts of Hyderabad and raped her. He later dropped her at home and left the place. Before leaving, he warned her not to disclose the matter to anyone and he would divorce his wife if she revealed the matter. However, the woman approached police and lodged a complaint. Chandrayanagutta police registered a rape case and arrested him on Friday.
