Man hijacks RTC bus, abandons it 10 kms away in Vikarabad

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, an unidentified man drove away an RTC bus and abandoned it 10 kilometers away in Vikarabad district of Telangana on Sunday night.

The incident occurred when the driver and conductor had gone to relieve themselves.

The Palle Velugu bus with more than 20 passengers on board was at the bus station. A few minutes after the driver and the conductor went to relieve themselves a stranger opened the door and drove away the bus. The passengers thought he was the driver.

After driving for more than ten kilometers, he stopped the bus in the middle of the road. Even before the passengers could realize what was happening, he got down from the vehicle and walked away.

Though passengers tried calling him, but could not succeed as he melted away in the dark. Later driver and conductor reached the spot and continued the journey. Tandur police has registered a case and started investigation.
