Man kills elder brother during Dussehra celebrations in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, an argument between two brothers led to murder at Gopalpuram in Secunderabad. Sai Kumar Yadav and Santosh Kumar Yadav were celebrating Dussehra with alcohol. Soon an argument broke between the two and Sai Kumar allegedly attacked his elder brother Santosh with a paper-cutter on Tuesday night. Santosh succumbed to his wounds on Wednesday morning.
According to police, on Tuesday, the siblings were celebrating Dussehra together with their families. Later, at night, both of them started consuming alcohol, when Santosh began an argument over their mother. Sai tried to pacify Santosh, and the latter refused to back down. When Santosh began to abuse their mother, Sai picked up a paper-cutter and attacked Santosh with it.
Sai injured Santosh in the stomach, chest and other areas, leaving the latter seriously injured. The family members immediately took Santosh, who collapsed in a pool of blood, to Gandhi hospital on Tuesday night.
Gopalpuram police registered a murder case based on Santosh’s wife Madhuri’s complaint against Sai and detained him. Further investigation is underway, said the police officials.
