Hyderabad: The district court in LB Nagar sentenced a man to three years in prison on 30 September for kidnapping a minor girl in 2016.
The 23-year-old Kudumula Ravi had kidnapped a 17-year-old girl in September 2016. The man had got acquainted with the teenager while she was home for the summer holidays and told her that he was a software engineer working in Hyderabad. Since then, they were in frequent contact with each other.
In the wee hours of September 2016, Ravi called the girl and asked her to come to Dilsukhnagar. When she reached the place, the accused forcibly took her to Chanda Nagar and locked her up in a room.
