Man tortures live-in partner’s three-year-old son to death in Kurnool

Kurnool: A three-year-old boy was tortured to death allegedly by his mother’s live-in partner for being naughty at Weeker’s Colony in Kurnool city of Rayalaseema district on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Julshi.
Police said Julshi’s mother is a native of Bengaluru and had separated from her husband around six months ago. Julshi’s mother has been in live-in-relationship with Farooq at Weeker’s Colony.
On Sunday night, Farooq tortured the boy to the extent that he felt unconscious. He was shifted to District Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Sources said that Farooq had burnt the boy with cigarette buts before thrashing him black and blue.
Both Farooq and the boy’s mother have been booked under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC.
Police arrested the duo and produced them before the local court. Local leaders and women activists staged a protest demanding severe punishment against Farooq and the boy’s mother.
