Vijayawada: Senior IPS officer Manish Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the Intelligence Chief (Inspector General of Police) of Andhra Pradesh.

Sinha, a 2000-batch officer of Telangana cadre, will take charge from Kumar Vishwajeet, who was the Intelligence Additional Director General. Vishwajeet is a 1994-batch IPS officer.

The transfers are a part of the routine reshuffling of top IPS officers, said sources.

Mohr Ahsan Raja, the Special Secretary to Home Department, has been posted as the Director-General of Prisons and Correctional Services.

Bhaskar Bhushan, a 2009-batch IPS officer will now take charge as the Superintendent of Police, Nellore, by replacing Aishwarya Rastogi, who has been appointed as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Admin) at Mangalagiri.

Senior officer TA Tripathi has been appointed as Member, Commissioner of Inquires.
