Manish Kumar Sinha is new police Commissioner for Vizag city

In a major shuffle, Andhra Pradesh government has changed the police leadership in Vizag city, which is tipped to be a Executive capital of Andhra Pradesh, posting senior IPS officer Manish Kumar Sinha as the new Commissioner.

The outgoing Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar Meena , led the city police for over one year and he led the city during the pandemic and lockdown.

Senior IPS officer Manish Kumar Sinha has been working as the Intelligence Chief (Inspector General of Police) of Andhra Pradesh.

Sinha, a 2000-batch officer of Telangana cadre, will take charge from Rajiv Kumar Meena, who was transferred and directed to report to the police headquarters, Mangalagiri, for further posting.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday transferred three IPS officers.

1992 batch IPS officer, Kasireddy VRN Reddy, Director of General, Vigilance and Enforcement and Ex- Office Principal Secretary to Government, General Administration ( V and E) Department is transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence in the existing vacancy.

He is also placed in full Additional Charge of the post of Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement until further orders.
