It is to protest against the illegal arrests, fake encounters and attacks on tribals security forces under the name of operation Samadhan.
It may be recalled that the security forces gunned down five Maoists in two separate exchange of fires (EOFs) with red-rebels at GK Veedhi Mandal in the Visakhapatnam Agency recently.
The banned outfit released a press note in the name of its AOBSZC Secretary, Ganesh, in which the Maoist leaders alleged that severe repression on the tribal people has been on the rise after the formation of the YSR Congress government in Andhra Pradesh.
Security forces in large numbers have been deployed in the agency areas.
He alleged that three Maoists were killed in Madigamallu near Gummurevula on September 22 after they organised a meeting with tribals in the Annavaram forest area. He accused the government saying that two Maoists were captured after they received injuries.
Both were tortured by the security forces before they were killed on September 23 and the police announced and termed it as another encounter. Ganesh warned the ruling party leaders that they would be held responsible for these killings. He urged the people to observe a bandh on Thursday.
Keeping in view of the Maoists' Bandh Call, the police have intensified the vehicular check ups in Vizag Agency and along Andhra Odisha Border. The APSRTC has also suspended some inter-state bus services and bus services to remote areas on Thursday.
The atmosphere at the tribal pockets has once again turned tense with the intensified combing operations by Security Forces and Bandh Call by ultras.
