Metro operations from 7th, classes 9th to 12th students allowed to visit schools

Hyderabad: The Telangana government, on Monday, September 1st, issued orders of reopening the city under Unlock 4.0, and stated that Hyderabad Metro rail can start operations from September 7th in a graded manner.

As per the government, activities such as schools, colleges, educational institutes, cinema halls, swimming pools, including pubs and bars will remain shut until further orders. All activities apart from these few will be allowed in areas outside containment zones.

The government order further read that online/distance learning will be encouraged. September 21st onwards, however, Teaching and non-teaching staff will also be permitted to be called to school, with a fifty percent capacity, and students in grades 9th to 12th will be allowed to visit their schools, as long as they are outside containment zones.



However, students travelling outside will have to carry a written permission from their parents.

Open air theaters will be allowed to re-open following standard operation protocols post September 21st. Short term training centers registered with State Skill Development Missions or other ministries of the state government will also be allowed to start operations from the said date.

Students enrolled in PhD and postgraduate courses involving laboratory based work will be allowed to resume their projects throughout the state.

The government order further said that bars and pubs will receive a separate notice for reopening.

However, a strict lockdown will continue in containment zones where only essential activities will be allowed. "There will be strict perimeter outside these zones to ensure that there is no movement of people in or out of these zones, except for medical emergencies and supplies of essential goods and services," the order further read.
