MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy files PIL against land allotment to TDP office in Mangalagiri
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 Dec 2019 6:28 PM ISTHyderabad: Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Andhra Pradesh High Court against land allotment. The legislator urged that the 3.6 acres land allotted for the construction of TDP party central office was not in accordance with legal norms.
The 3.65 acres of land in question is Vagu Poramboku land for 99 years lease at Atmakur village in Mangalagiri Mandal of Guntur district. According to the PIL filed on Thursday, Ramakrishna Reddy mentioned that the permitted area for the construction of TDP central office was illegal, arbitrary, and unconstitutional.
He added that it is contrary to the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014. For the same, he requested the High Court to cancel the GO 228 issued on June 22, 2017, and asked the Court to direct the CRDA commissioner to demolish the illegal construction.
TDP National General Secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh and his wife Brahmani performed special pujas at the new premises of the TDP headquarters at Atmakur village on December 5. Sringeri Sharada Peetham Pundits have performed Ganapathi homam and Sudarshana homam. TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the new TDP office on December 6.
