Movies are Allu Arjun’s only focus, says Trivikram Srinivas
By Bhavana Published on 11 Jan 2020 4:25 PM GMTHyderabad: Ahead of the release of Ala Vaikunthapuramloo, director Trivikram Srinivas spoke to the media and looked super excited. Starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, the film also has Tabu, Jayaram, Murali Sharma, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sushanth, Navdeep and Rahul Ramakrishna in key roles.
Trivikram is known for dialogues that are loaded with humour and spontaneity. So every time his film releases, the audience expects nothing but a wholesome entertainer. He directed some really good films like Nuvve Nuvve, Athadu, Khaleja, Julaayi, A Aa, Son of Sathyamurthy, Attarintiki Daredi, Agnyathavasi and Aravinda Sametha. Now Ala Vaikunthapuramlo is all set to hit the screens on January 12.
“After Agnyathavasi ended up as a flop at the box office, expectations on the director have come down. Including my near and dear ones, everyone began telling me that I should go back to those concepts for which I am known. But I went against what they said and made Aravinda Sametha. There was no humour in it at all. And now I can’t make something like it again. So I worked in humour again for Ala Vaikunthapuramlo,” said the director, talking about the changes he makes in genre, concept and his ideas.
This director, popularly known as ‘Wizard of Words’, says that in every film he makes, he makes sure that he delivers a message that will definitely make an impact on the audience. So this time, with Ala… he has another message. “You can give people a place in your life, but not a position. Position is something that they have to earn by themselves. All these thoughts and lessons come from The Ramayana and The Mahabharata. Nobody can tell a story beyond these two mythologies is what I believe,” said the director.
Talking about his third collaboration with Allu Arjun, Trivikram said that the actor has changed a lot since the time they worked together for Julaayi. “I must say that he has changed a lot as a person. He doesn’t think of anything else but films. He is much focused and his films are his only focus. It is always a pleasure working with him,” said the director.
When asked about what his next film is, the director said that he hasn’t started working on it yet. “I don’t know whom I will be working with. Will announce once things are finalised,” he added.
