Music composer Wajid Khan passes away, Bollywood slips into shock

Music composer, Wajid Khan of Sajid - Wajid fame passed away in early hours today.

He was 42. Reports said he was suffering from serious kidney ailment for the last few years. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and was put on a ventilator.

His colleague, Salim Merchant broke the news on twitter. In no time, people, who worked with him took to the micro-blogging website and offered condolences.

“Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid -Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family. Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7 you’ve gone too soon. It’s a huge loss to our fraternity. I’m shocked & broken. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un”, Salim tweeted.

From Priyanka Chopra Jones to Sonu Nigam to Swara Baskar, Bollywood bigwigs expressed shock over his untimely demise.

Sajid - Wajid duo was Salman Khan's favorite music composer. Khan had first spotted them in 1998 when they composed music for his movie Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya.

Later they composed music for most of Khan’s movies including Dabangg 3. Wajid was last seen promoting the film along with the actor. He hailed from Uttar Pradesh.

Wajid had also composed 'Bhai Bhai and Pyar Korona’ during the lockdown.

Twiteratis said 2020 has snatched yet another talented artist and are wondering how the second half of the year is going to be for Bollywood.
