Musical tribute to woman cops fighting COVID in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: For a change, Hyderabad city police have paid a musical tribute to its women COVID warriors.

The Hyderabad city police have released a short video showing women staff dancing to the tunes of a Telugu rap from Chowrasta band “chetuletti mokkuta cheyi cheyi kalapaku raa” , which had become a runaway hit recently.

The subtext of the video is to highlight the contribution of women staff in fighting the COVID 19. From COVID-enforcement to sensitization to spreading awareness, the video shows women cops performing varied duties to fight coronavirus.

The video also shows the staff feeding the needy and helping migrants. The video has encapsulated some real incidents of the cops on duty. Even feeding pigeons have been captured in the video.

Hyderabad Police

The video was launched by Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar during a program to felicitate women staff who have done exemplary work during the pandemic.

“Women constable officers have done commendable work in this corona war. We recognized the services of 60 such officers” Anjani Kumar said.

DCP East Zone M Ramesh, who shared the video on his twitter handle, wrote: “Our women police officers conceived and made this video with professional help, highlighting the role of women #covidwarriors in the police.”

Women cops are more actively involved in COVID duties, even checking vehicles, manning check posts, and maintaining containment areas.
