Hyderabad: Are you someone who loves a little bit of adventure, uncertainty, and silence? Here is a place, not-so-popular in the city that offers you a mix of all three. Come, take a stroll, breathe some fresh air, and unwind.
Situated in one of the interior roads of Jubilee Hills, the Ficus Garden located in Road Number 51, Silent Valley Hills, could be your perfect evening walk spot. The steps on the walking path welcome you into the forest adorned by several rock formations. The cool, windy evening weather urges you to run up and down the rock steps. The lush greenery around warms your heart.
The peace and silence of the place are its main attractions. As you walk further, you find small benches where you can take a break, sit, and enjoy the sounds of nature. The silence amplifies the chirpings of birds.
Looking at the endless stretch of steps, you start wondering where they lead. Stay cool and relish the scenes you pass by.
After around a 15-minutes walk inside the forest, you enter a park surrounding a clean, beautiful lake, the Durgam Cheruvu lake park. Though this is a popular hangout place in the city, not many people are aware of this serene beauty inside a forest, the Ficus Garden that also opens into the lake park.
Ficus Garden is a small place to explore but a good one to spend your evenings.
It is open on all days from 6 a.m to 9 a.m and from 4 p.m to 6 p.m.
