Ex- MP Kothapalli Geeta resorts to `Muslim bashing' in a Twitter skirmish

After questioning the religion of climate activist Disha Ravi, former Araku MP Geeta Kothapalli has sparked another row by posting offensive remarks against a Muslim user on Twitter.

After a Twitter user, Mohammad Zubair shared an affidavit of MP highlighting her husband's name Kothapalli Jacob, Geeta Kothapalli went on an offensive targeting his religion.

"Madrasa educated chap, what is an awkward moment? Did I hide? It's legal and official. Am I the one who created the tool kit? Am I the one who is facing Charges? Awkward is your madrasa Brain which fails to understand basics," she tweeted.

Earlier, she had argued that the full name of Dish Ravi is `Disha Ravi Joseph', implying that she is a Christian. Mohammad Zubair had shared a fact-check story debunking her claims that Disha is Christian.

Some netizens twitted that the CBI has filed a chargesheet against the then Lok Sabha MP Kothapalli Geetha and others for their alleged involvement in a criminal conspiracy to cheat Punjab National Bank (PNB), causing a loss of Rs 42.79 crore to the bank.

Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet in the court of Principal Special Judge for CBI cases, Hyderabad U/s 120-B (criminal conspiracy) read with 420 (Cheating), 468 (forgery), and 471 of IPC and U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, 1988.

Babblloo, a netizen, tweeted that Geetha is from a Christian Dalit family who got a fake ST Certificate her brother has a BC Certificate.

Hyderabad Intellectual Forum tweeted that Geetha has now become a Saint after joining BJP. "As usual, all PAAPS will be whitewashed by Modi once they embrace Gau Shala", it said.
