Hyderabad Cops rescued 3-year-old from Maharashtra

Hyderabad: Two teams of the Abids Police rescued a 3-year-old boy who was kidnapped near Gandhi Bhavan Metro Station in the city and taken to Malegoan in Maharashtra. A person accused of kidnapping the child was also arrested by the police.

According to the police, the father of the child M Shiva Kumar filed a complaint with them on February 8 saying that their child was kidnapped. Shiva was from Karnataka and worked at the Shezan Hotel at Nampally. He and his wife, Ambika, and three children - Nandini, 12, Bhavani, 9, and Rudramani 3 – were homeless and were living on the footpath near the Gandhi Bhavan Metro Station.

Two people, Bhogiram and Shyam Bheem Rao Solanki, later joined their group asking Shiva to find work for them at the hotel. On February 8, when Shiva left home for work, Bhogiram took Rudramani out but came back alone. The couple approached the police when they searched for their son couldn't find him.

The police extensively searched for the boy in the CCTV footage from various railway stations and concluded that he was taken to Malegoan. On February 18, two police teams along with the Malegoan police officials rescued the child and arrested Shyam Bheem Rao Solanki who had taken the child with him from Hyderabad. The police said that Bheem Rao had plans to sell the child for money. A case was registered and the accused will be processed for judicial remand.
