Jubilee Hills police arrest `1 Drive in' employee for installing hidden camera in women's toilet

Hyderabad: Jubilee hills police have arrested an employee of `1 Drive in' for secretly filming women in the restaurant washroom. Identified as Benerjee, he was booked under section 354 C, 509 of the Indian Penal code, and 67 of the IT Act. Hailing from Nalgonda, he was filming customers with his cell phone in the washroom.
According to police, a 25-year-old woman and her friends had checked into a restaurant late Tuesday night. The woman later went to use the washroom. However, she noticed some suspicious object at a vantage point. She later found it to be a mobile phone. She raised an alarm and alerted the staff.
Police immediately rushed to the spot and arrested Benerjee. During questioning, he confessed to having placed a mobile phone in the restroom. He told the interrogators that he had been secretly filming people in the washroom.

Investigation officer Naveen Reddy told NewsMeter that the complainant spotted the camera in the toilet. "The investigation has revealed that the accused's intention was to capture the private moments in the women's washroom," he said.
During the examination of his phone, police found recordings running into hours. He had placed mobile at a vantage position to film the guests. And before his plan was busted, he had filmed many guests.
Police are trying to figure out how long he has been filming the guests. Police are also trying to find out his motives and the accomplices if any.
