OPPO launches new smartwatch: Check price, specifications, and more

'OPPO Watch Free' has launched a new smartwatch for Indian consumers with a touch screen and sensors for health and fitness tracking.

The global launch of the watch took place in September last year debuted in China. The smartwatch from the Chinese manufacturer has arrived in the country recently along with the Reno 7 5G Series.

The smartwatch features support for fast charging giving tough competition to other brands in India. Additionally, the watch comes with many sports modes and longer-lasting battery life, and many more features. Along with the smartwatch the company has even brought a new color green option for the OPPO Enco M32 neckband earphones.

OPPO Watch Free Specifications

The screen provided on the Watch free smartwatch features a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a display resolution of 280 x 456 pixels. The display of the watch comes with a 2.5D curved glass along with touch and DCI-P3 color gamut support. The watch connects with an Android device that runs on version 6.0 and above; as well as iPhones running on iOS 10.0 and above.

The possibility of connectivity from the watch to the smartphone comes with Bluetooth v5.0 support. This connectivity of the smartwatch enables the users to access quick notifications from smartphones; along with sedentary reminders on the watch to keep the user active. Speaking of the build the watch has a waterproof build that can sustain for up to 5ATM.

Jumping to the health and tracking options, the Watch Free smartwatch from OPPO comes with a SpO2 sensor. The sensor measures the SpO2 levels and even features 24/7 heart rate monitoring allowing the user to keep track of their health. Apart from these, the smartwatch features a total of 100 sports modes that even includes many popular choices.

Few of the sports currently available on the Watch Free smartwatch include badminton, cricket, rowing, elliptical machine, cycling, and many more. The watch uses even has the advantage of the 'OSleep' feature that monitors sleep data, heart rate, and SpO2 vitals while in sleep. The strap on the watch comes with silicone swappable straps although there comes in only Black color shade.

Price and Availability

This new affordable smartwatch from the Chinese manufacturer has been listed at a price tag of Rs. 5,999. Moreover, the Watch Free comes in a single Black color variant with swappable straps; where OPPO might bring other colors for the same in the future. The exact date of the availability of the smartwatch is still not confirmed yet.

The neckband earphones will sell at an introductory price of Rs. 1,499 from February 9 making it Rs. 300 cheaper than the retail price of Rs. 1799.
