Video: Mites infiltrate into steel trunk, eat man's life savings in Krishna district

Police said Bijili Jamalayya, who runs a pig business near Mylavaram water tank, decided to save over Rs10 lakh for his new house.
Jamalayya and his family members did not have any account either in the bank or post office. Therefore, his metal trunk remained his most precious possession to save money.

Due to an urgent requirement to invest Rs one lakh in his business, Jamalayya opened the box after months to find the cash eaten through. On seeing his entire saving lost, he collapsed on the floor. Later, he began scattering the notes on the floor to salvage any currency notes that might still be used.
Locals said Jamalayya's children and relatives were playing with the shreds of currency notes and alerted the police.
Jamalayya broke down explaining his ordeal to the police and other officials citing that his life savings has gone to the drain. Police didn't raise any doubts and however they said that they are also investigating the source of the cash in Jamalayya's possession.
