Nanis V to release on Amazon Prime

Hyderabad: Actor Nani's much-awaited film 'V' is all set to release on Amazon Prime on 5 September. Nani's 25th film was scheduled to release in March this year but was delayed due to COVID-19.

The filmmakers, Sri Venkateswara Creations, tweeted the announcement on 20 August and wrote, “The hunt is on! ✌ #VOnPrime Sept 5, on @PrimeVideoIN @NameisNani @isudheerbabu @i_nivethathomas @aditiraohydari @mokris_1772 #DilRaju #Shirish #HarshithReddy @ItsAmitTrivedi @MusicThaman @pgvinda #MarthandKVenkatesh”.

Nani, too, shared a statement for his fans on his social media page. “To my fans, well wishers and extended family here. These are not regular times and this is not going to be a regular experience. My 25th is special and now it will be even more for so many reasons. Let’s make it a memorable one. Let’s celebrate this September 5th. These 12 years you came to the theatres for me and it’s time I come home and say thank you! I will be as excited and nervous to hear from you all on the release day. Ps: When theatres open, Tuck Jagadish will take over. Promise!”

The movie is directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju. The movie also stars Nassar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Srinivasa Avasarala, Jagapathi Babu, and Vennela Kishore.

The film revolves around a cop who is challenged by a killer with a puzzle to solve. Will the cop cave in or solve the puzzle drives the plot of the film. Interesting, this is the first time Nani will be seen portraying a negative character.

Nani said he is quite thrilled about this action thriller which features a cat and mouse chase between him and Sudheer. It was this keep-you-on-the-edge-of-the-chair story that drew him towards the film. The actor further said the release date of his 25th film is the same as his debut movie.
