Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented a comparative analysis highlighting the rapid escalation in the state's power requirements:

Infrastructure Ready for 19,000 MW
Despite the unprecedented load, the Deputy CM announced on Wednesday that the state’s power infrastructure is fortified and fully prepared to handle a further surge of up to 19,000 MW.
Reviewing the state’s energy preparedness at the Assembly premises, Bhatti Vikramarka credited the seamless supply to proactive grid management. "Our power utilities have managed this surge efficiently without interruptions or overloading issues," he stated, commending the round-the-clock dedication of the department’s staff.
To ensure stability as temperatures continue to rise, the government has fast-tracked several critical projects:
Commissioning of new high-capacity substations.
Expansion of high-tension transmission lines.
Installation of additional transformers to mitigate local outages.
High Alert Issued for Summer & Yasangi Season
With the Yasangi season in full swing, the Deputy CM has put the Energy Department on alert. Top brass, including Special Chief Secretary Naveen Mittal and the CMDs of Transco and all DISCOMs, have been asked to remain on high alert.
"Officials and staff must remain on high alert until the end of the summer. There is to be no compromise on providing uninterrupted power to our farmers, residents of Greater Hyderabad, and the industrial sectors," the Minister emphasized.
