Andhra Pradesh draws 25% of India’s foreign investments, says CM Naidu at World Economic Forum
Davos: Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s most preferred global investment destinations, attracting nearly 25 per cent of the total foreign investments flowing into the country, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
CM Naidu also highlighted the State’s vast opportunities across green energy, technology, fuels, digital infrastructure, logistics, ports, airports, highways and the manufacturing sector.
Policy stability in AP and support for speed of doing business
Speaking at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Chief Minister Naidu invited global industrialists to visit Andhra Pradesh and personally assess the State’s progressive policies and investment-friendly environment.
He urged investors to make decisions after experiencing the government’s emphasis on speed of doing business, policy transparency and administrative efficiency.
The Chief Minister said the State government has created a predictable and stable policy framework to ensure investor confidence, adding that Andhra Pradesh today offers conditions that were difficult to achieve in the past.
Focus on future-ready sectors
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s long-term growth strategy, CM Naidu said the government is prioritising sectors such as green energy, green ammonia, advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure, logistics and emerging technologies.
He also spoke about initiatives like Space City, expansion of ports and airports and enhanced highway connectivity to strengthen the State’s industrial ecosystem.
With a 1,054-km-long coastline, a growing port network and strong air and road connectivity, Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a strategic gateway for global trade and investment, he said.
Innovation in agriculture and healthcare
The Chief Minister underlined the government’s push towards sustainability and innovation, stating that Andhra Pradesh is working towards natural farming across 50 lakh acres over the next three to four years.
He added that drone technology would be extensively used in both agriculture and healthcare and revealed plans to launch a drone ambulance service from Andhra Pradesh in 2026.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to combine technology with welfare and sustainability,” he said.
Knowledge economy and youth power
Referring to his long association with the Davos forum, Naidu said participation in the global meet has helped him understand evolving global trends, technological shifts and policy innovations.
He stressed that the knowledge economy would play a decisive role in transforming India’s economic landscape and driving wealth creation.
India’s demographic advantage, particularly its youth population and strong leadership at the national level place the country on a firm path to becoming a global power by 2047, he said, adding that Andhra Pradesh aims to lead this transformation.
Industry interaction at CII session
The session on ‘The Andhra Pradesh Advantage’, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), was attended by senior representatives of global companies, including top executives from the technology and financial sectors.
CM Naidu later interacted with national and international industrialists, exchanging views on investment opportunities and collaboration.
Reiterating his vision, the Chief Minister called upon global business leaders to ‘grow together, move forward together, and build the future together,’ positioning Andhra Pradesh as a truly business-friendly State on the global stage.
