Covid 19 cases cross 6000-mark in India, 14 deaths
Active cases increased to 28,303 according to the union health ministry

On September 16, 2020, the cases recorded were 6,298 in the country.
Active cases increased to 28,303 according to the union health ministry.
Comorbid conditions leading to death
14 deaths were reported of which three are from Maharashtra, two each from Karnataka and Rajashtan, one each from Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab, and one was reconciled by Kerala according to the updated data.
Experts state that those who are admitted to hospitals suffering from co-morbid conditions are succumbing to illness. The hospitalization rate is low.
The total number of deaths in the country is now 5,30,943.
The daily positivity rate has been recorded at 3.39 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.02 percent, it said.
The total tally of Covid cases stands at 4.47 crore (4,47,45,104) The active cases now comprise 0.06 percent of the total infections, while the national Covid recovery rate has been recorded at 98.75 percent, according to the health ministry's website.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has increased to 4,41,85,858, while the case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.19 percent, it said. According to the ministry's website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide Covid vaccination drive.
