Corporate houses trying to take over agriculture

The farmers said that corporate houses are attempting to take over the agricultural sector, and the shopping malls established by these corporate entities are proving harmful to shopkeepersā€™ businesses.

He explained that online buying and selling companies like Zomato, Zepto, Amazon, and Swiggy are causing significant harm to the businesses of local shopkeepers. Therefore, we believe that our action on January 26 is not only about raising the demands of farmers and laborers but also about protecting the entire society. Hence, the urban shopkeeper community, in particular, should openly support this action.

Condemned statement of Verma

Condemning BJP leader Parvesh Vermaā€™s statement about Punjabis and Sikhs, he said that Verma has portrayed Sikhs and Punjabis in a manner as if terrorists have entered Delhi. The BJP must clarify whether this is its official stance or Vermaā€™s personal opinion. Parvesh Verma should acknowledge his mistake and apologize to the entire Sikh community and Punjabis. He made it clear that this movement will continue until the demands are met.

Farmers' protests continue from 2024 onwards as their demands for a Minimum Support Price are still not met by the central government.
