Electoral bond biggest extortion racket in the world operated by Modi: Rahul Gandhi
Equating it with anti-national activity, he said, there cannot be a greater anti-national activity than this

āNarendra Modi ran the worldās largest Extortion Racket in the name of electoral bondsā, he remarked.
Addressing a press conference here, Gandhi said, the Electoral Bond was Modiās brainchild and he had claimed to cleanse the system of political financing in the country, but actually, he turned it into the biggest corruption scam in the world and a means of extorting money from the business and corporate houses.
Equating it with anti-national activity, he said, there cannot be a greater anti-national activity than this.
The former Congress president also warned the investigating agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and CBI that the BJP government will certainly change and stringent action will be taken against all those who resort to extortion on behalf of the BJP. āAction will be so strong and stringent that nobody will ever dare to do it againā, he promised.
Describing the ED as an āextortion directorateā, Gandhi said, the ED and the CBI do not investigate but extort money from the corporate and business houses for the BJP. He pointed out, ED/CBI raids are immediately followed by hefty donations to the BJP. He said, there were several companies, which had never before donated to BJP but were made to donate after the ED and CBI intimidation.
Asserting that it was being done so blatantly, Gandhi said, donations were made to the BJP immediately after getting big contracts. He pointed out that, unlike the BJP, the opposition parties did not have any control over the ED, the CBI, or in awarding the highways and defence contracts.
The senior Congress leader said that the countryās institutions like the Election Commission, the ED, and the CBI were no longer working for the nation, but for the BJP as these were directly controlled by the BJP. He made it clear, once the BJP government is gone, strict action will be taken.
He said it was the same money that the BJP used to destabilize the opposition governments. āIn Maharashtra, the NCP and the Shiv Sena were broken with the same moneyā, he pointed out.
Gandhi expressed confidence that the Congress and its allies in Maharashtra would win the elections by the biggest margins. He said the Congress party continues to remain intact and strong in the state.
