Rajasthan: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today said if his party is voted to power at the Centre, 30 lakh vacant government posts will be filled up and a law would be enacted to curb government recruitment question paper leaks.

During his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Rajasthan's Banswara, Rahul Gandhi promised the right to employment as well as apprenticeships for youth.

What are the key announcements:

Bharti Bharosa: Congress guarantees that it will create 30 lakh jobs in the Central Government, according to the published jobs calendar. 10 lakh sanctioned posts are vacant in Central Ministries/Departments

"Every young diploma and degree holder in the country will have the right to apprenticeships in the private and government sectors. They will get a one-year apprenticeship during which they will be paid Rs 1 lakh," said Rahul Gandhi.

There are other vacant posts in health, education, police, and army.




Pehli Naukri Pakki: Congress guarantees a new Right to Apprenticeship Act to provide a one-year apprenticeship with a private or a public sector company to every diploma holder or college graduate below the age of 25. Apprentices will get ₹1 lakh a year (₹8,500/month).

Currently, there are 8 lakh apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

No More Paper Leaks:

Implementation of strict laws against paper leaks and the establishment of a fool-proof process for the conduct of all government exams.

A total of 41 paper leaks have been reported over the last five years in recruitment exams across 15 states. These ruined the ambitions of 1.4 crore applicants. The most recent example this year is the UP Police Constable Exam for 60,244 posts in which 48 lakh youth applied, and paid ₹400 each (general category).

On the issue of paper leaks, Rahul Gandhi assured that Congress will standardize the government recruitment exam process and "stop its outsourcing".

According to the party, existing schemes like the government's ₹10,000 crore Fund of Funds Scheme only benefit elite investors from top institutions. The bulk of India's youth cannot avail these opportunities.

Social Security for Gig Workers: Introduction of a new law providing social start-up entrepreneurs at the district level. According to the party, Gig workers earn less than other workers according to NCAER data and their incomes fell between 2019 and 2022.

Promising a law for social security for gig workers such as drivers, guards, and delivery boys, Rahul Gandhi said, "In Rajasthan, a law was made for their protection, their pension, and their social security. We will implement the same law which was made in Rajasthan in the entire country."

In Telangana, the party has promised ₹5 lakh accident insurance and ₹10 lakh health insurance through the Rajiv Aarogyasri scheme.
