Punjab: Farmers' protests against the arrests continued for the fifth day at the Shambhu railway track in Punjab.

Haryana Police have arrested Navdeep Singh Jalvera, Gurkirat Singh, and Anish Khatkar allegedly on false charges. For the last one month, Anish Khatkar has been on a hunger strike in jail.

Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have called for Kisan Panchayat on April 22 at Khatkar Toll Plaza, Jind. Important decisions will be taken regarding the release of the imprisoned farmers.

From the stage of the ongoing dharna at Shambhu railway station, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher welcomed the large delegation of women and farmers from the Majha region of Panjab. He said that the government should not be under any misunderstanding.

“Our women are standing shoulder to shoulder with us in this fight, he said that women's power plays an important role in any struggle, and now when it is time for harvesting, where the farmers have gone to their respective fields for harvesting. At the same time, women coming forward and taking charge shows that the farmers are not going to back down if the struggle continues for as long as they wish,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, farmer leader Surjit Singh Phul also targeted the Punjab government for not immediately compensating for the damage caused by hailstorms and rain.

In his address, BK Ekta Azad leader Dilbag Singh Harigarh warned the central and state governments not to test the patience of the farmers. He said that until the governments do not live up to the promises made to them, similar questions will be asked in the villages.

Speaking from the stage, Balwant Singh Bahramke put the Punjab government in the dock and asked what is the compulsion that it is not able to arrange electricity, water, and toilets for the agitating farmers.

Farmer leaders said that the railway track jam will continue until the youth are released. Female farmer leader Gurmeet Kaur spoke from the stage and warned the government not to consider farmers as weak. In this fight for their rights, women are standing shoulder to shoulder with men and are not afraid of making sacrifices when the time comes.

The process of protesting against BJP and its allies by asking questions in every village is going on across the country. In this series, BJP candidate Vanto Kataria faced the protestors of Bharatiya Kisan Union Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Saketdi village of Panchkula today.
