Intimidating tactics used to force opposition leaders to join BJP: Sonia Gandhi

She warned the people of the country will teach him a lesson as nobody can be bigger than the nation.
Addressing a largely attended public rally after releasing the Congress āNyay Patraā (manifesto) here today, Gandhi said, an atmosphere of fear had been created in the country during the last ten years which had to be fought against.
Alleging that democracy and democratic institutions were being trampled upon, Gandhi said, it was total dictatorship and the Congress party will fight against it.
She said dark clouds of despair and injustice have spread all over during the last ten years. But, she assured, after every darkness, there is light and promised that the Congress party and its workers will fight to bring back the light of justice.
The CPP Chairperson said this regime had during the last ten years only brought hopelessness, unemployment, inequality, injustice, and economic crisis. She said this country is not a fiefdom of a select few people as it belongs to everyone.
Gandhi pointed out how pressure and intimidating tactics were being adopted against the opposition leaders to make them join the BJP. She said the constitution and democracy were in danger and resolved to save them.
She appealed to the Congress workers and hoped that they would spread the message of justice that the party had promised in its āNyay Patraā in every nook and corner of the country.
Expressing hope and confidence, Ms Gandhi pointed out, that darkness always leads to light, and the Congress workers will work to bring back the light of justice in the country and set it free from fear.
