Rahul Gandhi’s Letter

In his letter, Rahul Gandhi stated, ā€œI reiterate the demand of the Opposition for a special session of Parliament. It is crucial for the people and public representatives to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and the ceasefire. This is an opportunity for our collective resolve to meet the challenges ahead.ā€

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also called for a discussion in Parliament. Echoing the same demand, Kharge said, ā€œThe announcement of the ceasefire was first made by U.S. President Donald Trump. This needs to be discussed, and the people of the country must know what the government has discussed with them.ā€

These calls for a special session come amid nationwide debate and scrutiny over the ceasefire announcement, with analysts examining the implications of Trump’s role in the matter.
