Rahul raises issue of unemployment in country, Blames BJP government for security breach in parliament

NEW DELHI, December 22: Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the centre for the security breach in the parliament, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said that equally important issue was the reason behind the breach which was widespread unemployment prevailing in the country.

Addressing the protest organized by the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) at the Jantar Mantar here today, Gandhi also told the BJP government that it was mistaken if it thought that it can intimidate the people of the country, particularly the youth.

He pointed out how about 150 MPs were suspended just because they wanted to know how the security breach took place. He said, the MPs are representatives of lakhs of people from across the country.

“You have not just suspended 150 MPs, but tried to gag the voice of 60 percent of the people of the country”, Gandhi told the BJP government, while adding, “but they will not be scared or intimidated”.

He pointed out how the government tried to threaten the youth who were protesting against the Agniveer scheme that they would be barred from government jobs.

The Congress leader hailed the entire opposition for displaying unity against the hatred of the government. He said, no matter how much hatred the government may try to spread, the opposition will fight against it and defeat it. "The more hatred the BJP spreads, the more love and brotherhood INDIA parties will spread," he added.

Gandhi also took a dig at the efforts the issue was being diverted. He pointed out there was no discussion in the media about the security breach or the suspension of 150 MPs. The only thing they discussed, he added, was that he had made a video outside the parliament.
