Amravati: CM Chandrababu Naidu with Education and IT minsiter Nara Lokesh

Amaravati: N Chandrababu Naidu announced that Rs 9.5 lakh crore investments have led to 8.5 lakh jobs, aiming for 20 lakh total. Employment generation, skill development and work-from-home models are underway under minister Nara Lokesh’s leadership, he said.

The government introduced the P4 (People, Progress, Productivity, Prosperity) initiative to eliminate poverty and reduce economic inequality. Welfare schemes like Aadabidda Nidhi will be integrated with P4, he said.

Marking one year of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, CM Naidu on Thursday announced the development works throughout the year.

1. We had promised development, and today, we are delivering it. Among the Super Six guarantees, the ā€˜Thalliki Vandhanam’ scheme is a flagship initiative.

2. The government is spending Rs 10,091 crore on 67 lakh beneficiaries. Of this amount, Rs 1,346 crore is earmarked for school infrastructure development.

3. With enhanced Amma Vodi guidelines, they have launched an improved program that deposits funds directly into the accounts of mothers, based on the number of children they have.

4. In contrast to the previous government, which supported 42,61,965 beneficiaries, our government has reached 67,27,164 beneficiaries—an increase of 24,65,199 people, the CM said.

5. The government considered students from Class 1 and Class 10, and their benefits will be credited after the completion of admissions.

6. In cases where the mother is no longer alive, the money is being deposited into the father’s or legal guardian’s account. For orphaned children, the funds will be deposited upon certification by the district collector.

7. The government extended the scheme to 76,000 students studying in private and unaided schools.

8. To ensure transparency, the beneficiary lists will be displayed at the village and ward secretariats. For those facing technical issues or data discrepancies, we have provided time until June 26 to make corrections. The final list will be implemented on June 30.

9. As many as 18,55,760 mothers have one child, 14,55,322 mothers have two children, 2,10,684 mothers have three children, and 20,053 mothers have four children. Every one of these mothers is receiving support through the Thalliki Vandhanam scheme, the CM said.

10. Our country is also falling short of replacement-level fertility. The replacement fertility rate is 2.1, but India’s current rate is 1.9. In Andhra Pradesh, it is even lower at 1.5, a trend observed across South India. The government is transitioning from family planning to demographic management.

11. Under the Annadata Sukhibhav scheme, the government will provide Rs 14,000 per year, with Rs 6,000 coming from the Central government. In the previous administration, Rs 7,500 was provided, but now we are increasing that amount, resulting in a difference of Rs 6,500.

12. For the benefit of fishermen, they have allocated Rs 259 crores to 129,179 individuals. Previously, only 109,231 individuals received assistance. This marks an additional expenditure of Rs 150 crores, allowing us to assist an extra 19,947 people.

13. In the past, the economic situation was fragmented, leading to a lack of development. The previous government mortgaged excise and liquor revenues for 25 years to obtain funds. MRO and taluka offices were also mortgaged, and monthly salaries and pensions were not paid. Today, the government is implementing all 94 centrally sponsored schemes as per the established system.

14. As of now, they have provided 4 crore meals to 2 crore people through 204 Anna canteens.

15. To provide jobs for 2 million youth, they have created 850,000 jobs through an investment of Rs 9.5 lakh crore.

16. Lokesh is focusing on employment generation and investment promotion as chairman, developing strategies for unemployment benefits, enhancing skill development and promoting work-from-home opportunities.

17. The government is providing a Rs 15,000 pension to those who are sick (unable to get out of bed).

18. We are purchasing a quintal of tobacco for Rs 12,000, even at a loss to the government, CM Naidu said.
