Telangana CEO reviews voter roll revision, calls for accuracy, speed ahead of SIR

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudharshan Reddy has underscored the importance of completing all pending activities related to the SIR within the prescribed timelines.
He instructed officers to ensure that table-top exercises and data verification are completed promptly and accurately. Reddy on Saturday reviewed the progress of preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Telangana.
The review was conducted through a video conference with District Election Officers (DEOs), Collectors, and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) from all districts.
Strict timelines, accuracy emphasised
Addressing the officials, the CEO directed DEOs and Collectors to monitor the progress Assembly Constituency-wise and Polling Station-wise, working in close coordination with EROs to achieve error-free electoral rolls.

The review meeting was attended by Additional CEO Lokesh Kumar, Deputy CEO Hari Singh, and senior officials from the Chief Electoral Officer’s office.
Focus on Technology and Best Practices
Earlier in the week, CEO Sudharshan Reddy attended a two-day national conference convened by the Chief Election Commissioner in New Delhi.
The sessions focused on streamlining electoral roll management, leveraging technology, and implementing best practices to enhance voter registration services and transparency in the electoral process.
