TTD chief asks Maha govt for land to build Ammavari temple in Navi Mumbai

Hyderabad: TTD Chairman BR Naidu has asked Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to allot land for the construction of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Navi Mumbai and a TTD Information Centre at Bandra.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams boardā€™s request for site allotment was made through a requisition letter on Monday evening, during the ongoing 3-day International Temple Convention at Asha Convention Centre in Tirupati.

Earlier, 3.61 acres were allotted on a lease to TTD towards the construction of the Sri Vari temple in the Ulve area in Navi Mumbai. Now, TTD has decided to build an Ammavari temple on another 1.5 acres.

The TTD board has asked the Maharashtra State Government for land to construct the Ammavari temple and also space for the TTD Information Centre in Bandra.
