Navy’s multi-feed oxygen manifold to help coronavirus patients

Usually in every hospital bed has a dedicated oxygen supply through a pipe.
Naval Dockyard has developed the multi-feed oxygen manifold which can supply air to six people from one cylinder. Navy officials decided to donate 25 units of these manifolds to the Andhra Pradesh government.
Only 5-8 percent of people infected by COVID 19 will need a ventilator. The rest can be given oxygen. At this point of time, multi-feed oxygen manifolds will be very useful in the isolation centers being set up by the government. Currently, the Naval dockyard is manufacturing 10 Multi-feed Oxygen Manifolds.
