Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s sister Syama passes away after battling cancer for 8 years
By Bhavana Published on 7 Dec 2019 1:34 PM GMTActor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s sister Syama Tamshi Siddiqui has been battling with cancer for eight years and after suffering for a long time, she died at a hospital in Pune, claim reports. The news of Tamshi’s death has been confirmed by the actor’s brother Ayazuddin Siddiqui. He has told a new channel that Nawazuddin was in the USA when Tamshi breathed her last.
Her funeral will take place at the actor’s ancestral village in Uttar Pradesh, Budhana, where the entire family is present. The funeral is expected to take place on Sunday.
In a social media post last year, Nawazuddin had revealed that Syama was diagnosed with cancer when she was 18. “My sister ws diagnosed of advanced stage #breastcancer @ 18 bt it ws her will power & courage dat made her stand agnst all d odds she turns 25 2day & still fighting M thankful 2 Dr.@koppiker & @Lalehbusheri13 fr motivating her & m rly grateful 2 @resulpSir fr introducng me 2 dem,” he had written.
In October last year, Nawazuddin took to Instagram last year on October 13 on Tamshi’s birthday and wrote an emotional post to appreciate her. He wrote, “My sister was diagnosed of advance stage breast cancer at the age of 18 but it was her will power & courage that made her stand against all the odds. She turns 25 Today & still fighting I am thankful to Dr. Anand Kappikar &Laleh Bushari for motivating her & I am really grateful to Resul Pookutty Sir for introducing me to them.” (sic)
