Nervous about Inter results, two students end lives in Hyderabad

A girl from Medak took the extreme step just before the results were to be declared, while a boy ended his life at Miyapur in Hyderabad after he failed in the exams.
Medak police said Shilpa, a second-year BiPC student of TS Model School at Chegunta had appeared in the Intermediate examination in March 2020.
She became panicky when she came to know that the results will be declared in the afternoon. She also shared her worry with her parents who tried to pep her up.
Fearing that she may fail in the examination, she hanged herself at her home. When the results came, she had failed in one of the subjects.
In another incident, U Sandeep, a student of Sri Gayatri Junior College at Nizampet, had appeared in the final examination from the MPC group in March 2020. He took the extreme step after he failed in one of the subjects.
He was found hanging at his home in Miyapur on Thursday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. Police have registered a case and started the investigation.
