Nimmagadda's secret meet with YS Chowdary, Kamineni sparks row in Andhra
By Newsmeter Network Published on 23 Jun 2020 3:14 PM ISTVijayawada: Days after the Supreme Court refused to stay the Andhra Pradesh High Court order in State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar’s case, whose tenure was cut short by Jaganmohan Reddy-led government in Andhra Pradesh, his private meeting with BJP leaders, MP Sujana Chowdary and former minister Kamineni Srinivas at a star hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, has come to the light and triggered a political controversy in the state.
The private meeting of Sujana Chowdary and Kamineni Srinivas with Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has raised doubts over the political support to Nimmagadda and at the same time, giving strength to the YSR Congress party's allegations. The CCTV footage at the star hotel revealed that the trio met on June 13, in between 10.40 am and 11. 40 am. They entered into a private suit in the star hotel and the meeting lasted for over three hours.
The video footage of the three entering into the star hotel one after the other has leaked online.
'As Sujana Chowdary is a close confidante of the opposition leaders and Kamineni also shares a good bonding, their meeting has led to doubts over a conspiracy being hatched to tarnish the image of the YSR Congress government' said a source.
In the wake of Centre’s support to Nimmagadda, the meeting of Sujana and Kamineni with Nimmagadda has also fuelled speculations that they had apparently discussed the strategy to be adopted in the wake of the latest Supreme Court decision not to grant stay on the High Court’s order on Nimmagadda reinstatement as the SEC.
