NIT Warangal first institute with largest faculty

Hyderabad: National Institute of Technology, Warangal has emerged to be the first institute among all 31 NIT’s with the largest number of faculty. The management of NIT Warangal has been able to select 73 new faculty members in the entry-level in various departments.
With the addition of above 73 faculty members, the strength of NIT Warangal will go up to 342, making the institution with the largest number of faculty among the 31 NITs and also to have the best student-faculty ratio, said an official press statement.
Professor N. V Ramana Rao, Director NIT informed that the new faculty would bring in professionalism and will help in enhancing the research as well as academic output from the institute.
The NITs board has also approved to promote ten professors to the grade of Professors (HAD), taking the total number of HAD to 23.
