Actor Nithin donates Rs. 20 L to Telugu States for capacity building against COVID 19

Hyderabad: Leading from the front, Actor Nithin has donated two million rupees to the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for buying equipment to tackle deadly coronavirus in the state.

"In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, I'd like to do my bit for the country's safety. I wish to make a donation of Rs 10 lakh to @TelanganaCMO and another Rs 10 lakhs to @AndhraPradeshCM for the equipment needed to combat this epidemic. We can fight this together. #StayHomeStaySafe," he tweeted.

The actor had scheduled his wedding in April 2020 but it seems it will either be a private affair or it will be rescheduled.

Stars like Ram Charan and NTR Jr are seen promoting precautionary measures prescribed by the WHO to help contain the virus, while Prabhas has announced that he will go into self quarantine following his return from Georgia.

India has reported at least 415 positive cases till March 23. Andhra Pradesh has reported 7 and Telangana 27 cases. CM has urged the public to stay indoors.
