Noida man who robbed  homes in Alwal arrested, gold silver recovered

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police, on 18 September, arrested a 30-year-old man from Noida who had robbed several homes in the Alwal and Keesara area.

Giri Gangadhar is a resident of Noida in New Delhi who had earlier lived at Macchabollaram in Telangana's Alwal. According to the police, he is a notorious burglar who used to visit Alwal and surrounding areas with the intent to rob homes.

He targeted locked homes in lonely streets and colonies. He broke into the homes, stole gold, silver, and any other valuable property, and escaped. After committing the offenses, he would travel back to New Delhi where he spent the loot on his lavish lifestyle.

The special operation team, Balanagar zone of Cyberabad police commissionerate, arrested Giri on Friday and seized 40 tulas of gold and one kg of silver from him.

The police have issued an advisory urging people to use strong steel locks on their doors, install CCTV cameras in their home and surroundings, and keep jewellery and valuables in a locker. When going out of town, carry your valuables and ask your neighbours to keep a watch on your home, the advisory said. Don’t share your travel details with anyone, especially on social media, and don’t allow strangers into your home, it further added.
